subtle, settle, subtitle

Students started reading "Our Iceberg Is Melting Today" and we learned about the words would/could to predict what the book would be about.

Heidi noted that WOULD refers to unreal situations  while Edwin pointed out that COULD means a possibility before I presented the difference. Bravo!

A new word for students was subtle. Enrique heard the word "settle" and Junior heard "subtitle." We learned the difference between all three words in both definition and pronunciation.

Looking forward to digging into the book more!
