sadder not badder

Level 2: July 18

This week students learned about adjectives in English - when to use MORE and when to add -ER to the end. This can get super complicated because there are a lot of exceptions to our rules.

We can say, for example, "more difficult" but we can say "sadder" but we can't say "badder".

Some new words that came up in class:

  • light (for weight)
  • shy
  • rude
  • heavy

Students used a lot of great adjectives to describe themselves and their colleagues: serious, interesting, boring, angry, shy, rude, friendly

the Iceberg represents a constant
