Winter ESL - Week 2

Today, we focused on punctuation. A long, slow focus that really pays off.

Ss went on a scavenger hunt to find various examples of punctuation. There are a lot of posters in the classroom.
Fernando had a question about one of the motivational posters that reads: We apply our knowledge of perishable product to assure customers have "Citarella Fresh" foods at their tables."  He wanted to know why fresh was set apart from food. He said, "shouldn't it be 'fresh food'?" Then he wanted to know why both words in "Citarella Fresh" were capitalized and why it was set off by quotation marks. He's very observant.

Dacia did an exceptional job today! Her homework from last week was near perfect and she did a great job helping out her partner Emmanuel with periods and commas.
