Winter ESL - Week 11

Topic: Read a story about an ice-cream maker. Understand use of adverbs of manner.

New words: crammed vs cramp, sleep vs asleep vs sleeping vs fall asleep

While going over the worksheets, ss asked several times for me to repeat the pronunciation of "enthusiastically." Fanny said, "Gosh! I would never be able to write that correctly. Ha! Correctly. There's an adverb for you right there!"

Fernando remembered us talking about the word "towards" before. When he saw the sentence, "How do you act toward strangers?" he asked, "what is toward again? I'm not sure if I understand this." Great question about towards vs toward—when to use and what they mean.
