Avoid Short Cuts

Level 3 - 7:30am

Last week, students were given the assignment of finishing their book - Our Iceberg Is Melting. Unfortunately, only Carolina, Fatima and Esteban had completed their assignment, so we had to spend class time reading silently.

After that, students had to spend time thinking about the theme of the short fable they are going to write. Fables have to have a work-related lesson. Here are some notable themes:

  • Ronnie - Avoid short cuts because you can make a mistake
  • Antonio - Accept change and step up
  • Licette - Giving and receiving feedback

For homework, students had to brainstorm what animal best represents their theme.
