Where is VS Where's

Level 1 - 2:30pm

Students worked on listening to and giving written directions today. Some students said that they thought the difference between "Where is the bathroom?" and "Where's the bathroom?" is that the latter is more specific. After explaining, Ginette noted that "I am" vs. "I'm" is another example of a contraction. Bravo!

Note: some students were confused as to why/when one should say something is "on the right" or "on the left" vs. giving a direction "make a left" "make a right."
