Ss did a great job with their small talk lesson today.
In order to engage in small talk scenarios and encourage fluency and confidence, Ss played a True False games using facts about themselves. They really dug deep and understood the activity very well. Kossi, for example, said, "I am an African American" which sparked a discussion. Everyone said "Yes, it's true" but Kossi said it was false so I asked him to explain and he said, "African Americans are the ones who are born here but their ancestors are from Africa."
Some new words we learned today during our small talks: twins (Elizabeth was talking about her kids, she has twins!), bachelor (Kossi said he was not a bachelor), encourage (Victor said that "encourage" was related to "motivation")
