Rosemary - Making Connections

Students worked on articles today—a, an, the. They learned when to use them and how to use them. Rosmery did a great job helping other students remember that we use “a” before nouns that start with a consonant and “an” before nouns that start with a vowel. One thing that was confusing for students was the pronunciation of “the.” It is difficult for speakers of other languages to pronounce the “th” sound because it is a sound that is unique to English.
