This week, Ss used expressions for want/need, practiced numbers 1-12, and asked for multiple objects in English.
Happy to see Cristina again and she did a fantastic job! She is so dedicated and focused. She exaggerates words when she pronounces them so that she can feel what the muscles in her face are doing—it's incredible, then she always parrots new words for pronunciation quietly and less exaggerated to herself after she felt what her face did and it is always correct. While Group 2 was finishing their ref sheet, Cristina and I worked on "straws" because it was a word she just couldn't nail when we did listen and repeat before but then she got it!
Ss worked in partners for the a walk 'n' write activity, but groups were paired according to level.
We are still experiencing lateness issues and continue to speak with students. -- Rosa, Anselmo, Araceli, Maria, Israel—10 min. Arnulfo—15 min. Joel, Marvin—20 min. (Note from Diana: ss who were late said they were busy at work (except for Rosa who did not come from work) I'm wondering though if perhaps they don't have a readily available clock to check in with to see what time it is ?)
